Naxos

What a beautiful green oasis in the heart of the Cyclades in Greece. As your sailboat enters the main port at Naxos town, a hint of the beauty of this town is seen in arch of an ancient temple built in 522 BC .   As you wind into the port, above you stands an imposing Venetian castle built in 1207, which was the center of power for 300 year for the Cyclades area. Taking the path up to the castle, winding narrow paths made of whitewashing stone await you for exploring, dining and shopping.  Wandering the streets, the warmth of the shopkeepers invite you in sample their desserts or buy their handmade natural products.

Getting lost has never been so much fun!

Cheers, Anchor & Explore
